Understanding Attachment Advanced Training

Training

To book a 'closed' training just for your team, please ring 0121 296 4448 or email solihull.approach@uhb.nhs.uk and we will create a bespoke order form for you. For individuals, please go to 'Book an individual training place'.

This is a 1 day seminar on attachment. It can be used as a stand alone seminar, but provides most value as a follow up to the 2 Day Foundation training to deepen knowledge and to keep moving theory into practice. Solihull Approach trained practitioners are likely to get the most out of the seminar, but other practitioners can attend.

The training requires a supporting information booklet for each delegate, designed to move theory into practice. £8 each. This is included in the training for individuals.

This seminar is designed to consolidate learning from the 2 Day Foundation, but will provide the best value as part of a theory into practice strategy that includes work discussion time, the Refresher Day and the seminars on brain development and trauma.

It includes: the biological basis of attachment, secure base, safe haven, Strange situation, categories of attachment, attachment and the relationship, developments in attachment theory, the Solihull Approach model and attachment, attachment in practice, epigenetics and attachment.

You can run this seminar in your local area with the right Trainer's Manual. You need to have completed the 2 Day Foundation Training. Preferably you'll have also completed Train the Trainer, but this is not a requirement.

If you want to observe the seminar before running it yourself, you can ask us to run it for you in your local area or you can attend this seminar virtually via Zoom or in Solihull, as available.

It is also available as an online course.
